Expand Your Prep Surface and Storage with a Heavy Duty Rolling Cart

by Bison, Jul 18 2017

Grilling season is here. But the average grill doesn’t offer much in the way of prep surfaces. Even if you have a full-blown outdoor kitchen, you can never have enough prep and storage space. Whether you’re cooking indoors or outdoors, for a family of five or a party of 30, our rolling carts provide the perfect blend of style and functionality.

If you need a cart strictly for outdoor use, and you want to be able to store it outside instead of dragging it into the garage after every use, you’ll love our Stone Top Cart. This rolling cart has a two-inch thick stone surface made from native Kansas limestone and two red cedar shelves that are clear-coated with weather-proof varnish.

If you need an indoor-only mobile workstation, you’ll want the Wood Top Cart. This rolling cart has a butcher block surface with end grain construction to handle a heavy workload of chopping and cutting. The Wood Top Cart can double as a mobile kitchen island, with two metal shelves and urethane-coated steel casters that allow you to roll it wherever you need it without scratching the floor.

If you’re looking for a rolling cart that does the job inside and out, check out our Stone Side Cart. There’s a reason it’s our best seller. It has a 2-foot X 2-foot butcher block in the center, limestone surfaces on either side, and two natural cherry shelves. The natural-looking stone in this rolling cart and the Stone Top Cart is durable enough to handle the heat from your hottest pots and pans. Just make sure you store it inside to preserve the butcher block.

All of our rolling cart frames are made with heavy gauge, 1/8-inch tubular steel with a powder-coated finish and have steel bars on both sides to hand your towels or grilling tools. And we don’t use cheap, imitation materials or plastic – just solid stone, solid wood and solid steel. Each cart tips the scales at about 100 pounds, give or take a few, so it would take a twister to blow one off your patio.

Of course, we can custom-build a rolling cart to your specifications. Just tell us how and where you plan to use it and how big you think it needs to be, and we’ll create a one-of-a-kind mobile workstation just for you.

Rolling carts from Bison Woodworking. Timeless industrial style. Old-school craftsmanship and durability. The flexibility to roll it where you need it. This is how we do grilling season.

About Us

Bison Woodworking is what happens when a couple of individuals with a passion for woodworking come together to make something great. Starting in a garage in 2006, Bison Woodworking was a one man show, turning out beautiful and unique kitchen islands and butcher blocks. Each one, built by hand, one at a time by Craig himself.
